Michael Vacchiano became the Superintendent of Glenwood Country Club in November of 2018. In his extensive career, Michael began at Hollywood Country Club in Deal, New Jersey and worked as Assistant Superintendent for Alpine Country Club before accepting the head Superintendent position at the Glen Ridge Country Club where Michael stayed for almost 20 years.
During his tenure at Glen Ridge, listed by the USGA as one of the first 100 clubs in the United States, he was credited with directing the construction of a major historic restoration project. Plans included rebuilding four greens to USGA specs, green expansions, restoration of existing and lost bunkers to original design and resurfacing and leveling of all teeing grounds.
Michael is a graduate of Rutgers University and also holds an advanced degree in Agronomy. He is a member of the Golf Course Superintendent Associations of America and New Jersey. Michael holds New Jersey State Certified Commercial Pesticide and Fertilizer Applicator licenses.
